Shoe Tips – Swollen Feet, Calluses, Bunions And Other Issues

February 24, 2017 by superadmin

shoe tips

Bunions, plantar fasciitis, swollen feet, corns and calluses – there are a variety of foot issues that can leave you with pain or irritation. Unfortunately, the wrong footwear can make the problem even worse. Other than avoiding shoes that are too tight, ill-fitting, or those with high heels, you can make smarter choices in the shoes you wear, based on your particular problem. As bulk wholesale footwear distributors supplying customers around the globe, we have a few shoe tips that will hopefully help you deal with your foot issue.

Swollen feet are common, and can occur in pregnant women, those who consume a lot of salt or carbohydrates, or simply due to hot weather in summer months. Certain medical conditions can also make your ankles and feet swell. What are the proper shoes to wear for the most comfort? Those that are well ventilated so your feet can breathe, and that provide plenty of room. Avoid shoes that are snug.

Plantar fasciitis is a condition that affects the tissue in the heel of the foot, which is usually where the pain or inflammation is located. What you want in this situation is a shoe that offers shock absorption, one with good cushioning and heel support. Shoes that provide good arch support are also helpful for those with plantar fasciitis pain.

Have a bunion? Most are located along the inside edge of the foot in the area where the big toe joint joins the foot. A bunion can cause your big toe to push inward, so you’ll want to choose shoes that are flexible and a bit “boxy” in the toe area; flat shoes that are comfortable and not tight. The last thing you want to wear is high heels, as this only puts pressure on the area where the bunion is located.

Corns and calluses can actually be caused by the footwear you choose, as these “tough” or thick areas of skin occur when shoes rub the ball area on the bottom of the foot, heels, or toes. Shoes that put pressure on your feet such as heels are usually the culprit. What to do? Choose shoes that are well-fitting, and that don’t put pressure on your feet or rub on any area of the foot. It also helps to have good cushioning in the sole area.

Your feet are your means of transportation, so to speak, so you want to keep them in good shape and as pain-free as possible. Choosing the right shoes can go a long way toward helping you avoid problems!

Shoe News – Paralympic Skier Sundquist Finds Shoe Solemate

February 17, 2017 by superadmin

shoe news

Many people know who Josh Sundquist is, others perhaps have never heard of him. A Paralympic ski racer, motivational speaker, and bestselling author, 32-year-old Sundquist is a native of Charlottesville, VA who lost his leg at age nine to Ewing’s sarcoma, a rare cancer that occurs in the soft tissue or bone of the femur, humerus, pelvis, collar bone, or ribs. Sundquist released his memoir in 2010, a book titled “Just Don’t Fall: How I Grew Up, Conquered Illness, and Made it Down the Mountain.”

One problem Sundquist has faced over the last 23 years is the fact that, when buying shoes, he only needs one after losing his left leg so many years ago. What to do with those shoes? According to a recent article, he’s been saving them up for years, waiting to come across his shoe “soulmate” or “solemate” as he said on Instagram the day he found his new friend Stephen. Stephen wears the same shoe size, and is missing his right leg.

Now all those pairs of shoes are put to good use. Sundquist posted on Instagram “I have finally found my soulmate. His name is Stephen, and he is missing his right leg. He has the same size shoe as I do. So this is very exciting, because I’ve been saving up these shoes for like years and years, waiting to find my solemate, which I finally have.”

At the time of the shoe news article, the Instagram post had 16.3k views! A heartwarming story.

Most people never think about the fact that some individuals only need a single shoe. Perhaps shoe manufacturers should focus on an underserved market?

At The Jay Group Ltd. we provide bulk wholesale footwear to domestic and international clients, quality shoes that are in style, in good condition, and many from the most trusted brands. Footwear News – Katy Perry Shoe Line Colorful And Affordable

February 9, 2017 by superadmin

footwear news

According to recent footwear news reports, singer Katy Perry has been keeping a secret; not only is she passionate about singing, she’s also passionate about shoes and will launch Katy Perry Footwear next month, a line she describes as “vibrant, expressive, and defining.”

Perry and Global Brands Group Holding Ltd. have formed a joint venture that Perry hopes will make it possible for those who are not rich or excessive to enjoy shoes that are somewhat unconventional, many including wacky or whimsical touches. Perry said that money was scarce in the early days of her career, and as a teen.

Before Perry made the move to Los Angeles, she had a pair of shoes that was Dalmatian-themed, shoes that she claims started so many conversations she had to have them resoled numerous times. These shoes are the inspiration behind “Jessica” Easter Bunny flats that are scheduled to launch on February 16. Those who love quirky and unique will no doubt fall for Perry’s shoe line!

Global Brands President of Footwear, Jimmy Gabriel, said he’s banking on the creative singer’s broad appeal and “imaginative” fashion sense to snatch a solid share of the female market, particularly those 16 to 40 years old.

Who will carry Perry’s new shoe line? To date, it is revealed that Amazon.com, Lord & Taylor, Macy’s Inc., and Zappos have signed on.

As a global wholesale footwear distributor we know that today, shoes are a BIG deal. Many celebrities and athletes are coming out with their own lines, and people all around the world are passionate about what they put on their feet. Bulk Footwear – How To Dress Up Flats, Sandals, And Pumps

February 3, 2017 by superadmin

bulk footwear

Lots of women are passionate about shoes, but don’t have the financial resources to buy dozens of pairs of flats, sandals, or pumps. When it comes to footwear, trends are gearing back in time when lots of women put shoe clips on their shoes to dress them up and give them a new look. In fact, this was the “big thing” back in the 1930s through the 1950s!

So, how can you dress up your shoes? Our wholesale footwear distributors have a few tips.

Depending on how simple or ornate you want your shoes to look, and the occasion, shoe clips are similar to clip-on earrings and come in a wide array of styles and designs. From a retro look to modern, simple, or classic, these affordable clips can transform those pumps you thought had gone out of style years ago so you can make use of them again!

Depending on the type of shoe you’re wearing and your wardrobe, you may want to clip one of these jewelry-like pieces to the side of your shoe, or to the front.

As you might expect shoe clips can be just about anything you want, from faux-floral designs or those crafted with beads to grosgrain bows and stones that glitter. If you’re not someone who likes really ornate details, there are plenty of simpler styles available at sites like eBay and etsy.

Travel frequently? Dressing up your footwear with shoe clips is an easy way to cut down on how much “stuff” you have to drag along with you, as you can give one pair of shoes several looks simply by changing clips!

Creative types will love the fact you can craft your own unique design. All you need is the basic metal base, then you’re ready to add your own beads, fabric, stones, or whatever material you like. You can even add a little “bling” to your heeled boots and booties with chains and bling straps that are detachable.

Who knew you could do so many things with a single pair of shoes? Dress them up or down, make them work with any outfit – and they’re sure to grab attention!

Are you a domestic discount retailer looking for wholesale shoes your customers will love? At The Jay Group Ltd. we provide domestic and international clients with bulk footwear for the entire family including men’s, women’s, and children’s casual, dress, athletic, boots, and more. Bulk Shoes – Boots For Whatever Winter Weather Brings Along

January 29, 2017 by superadmin

bulk shoes

Rain, sleet, snow, a wintry mix, super-cold temperatures; in winter months, you never know what kind of weather you’ll encounter depending on where you live. As a distributor of quality wholesale footwear, we thought you may be interested in the latest boots designed for whatever the weather may bring. Good looks, comfort, and protection from the elements!

When it’s super-cold outside but nothing is falling from the sky, boots lined with sheepskin and wool are ideal for keeping feet nice and toasty. It’s also a good idea to consider a pair that’s waterproof, just in case anything wet or frozen should start falling while you’re out and about.

Live in an area where it seems snow is on the ground from fall to spring? Of course you have to build a snowman, so what type of boots are recommended? Snow boots, of course! Make sure they’re packed with waterproof features and have a faux fur or sheepskin lining to keep your tootsies warm while you’re building the best-looking snowman on the block.

Snow, sleet, and frozen rain? It happens, and it’s the worst in terms of slippery sidewalks and roadways. When the weather outside is frightening, make sure you have good traction. A good pair of boots for those days when a wintry mix seems to stop everyone in their tracks (except you, of course) are those with a waterproof shell, great traction, and extra insulation such as Thermolite that often lines duck boots.

Blizzard conditions? When temps drop well below zero and the snow is blowing in like crazy, you need boots that can withstand the toughest conditions. Again, you’ll want exceptional traction and a Thermolite lining to keep your feet warm. You may also want to get a pair with K-Guard technology, which serves as a tough barrier against all the elements of winter.

While boots are certainly utilitarian, it doesn’t mean they have to look it! Today’s winter boots are not only super tough, but good looking – even cute!

Hopefully these tips will help you choose just the right boots for any forecast.

Shoe News – Boots Pulled Over Swastika-Shaped Tracks

January 20, 2017 by superadmin

shoe news

In recent shoe news, a boot sold on Amazon by Conal International Trading Company has been pulled from the giant e-tailer after a consumer found the boots he purchased left behind small prints that appeared to be in the shape of swastikas.

The prints left behind by the Polar Fox boots were posted on Reddit, with the user saying, “There was an angle I didn’t get to see when ordering my new work boots.” Conal International Trading Company claims they were not aware of the swastika-shaped prints until they saw the consumer’s complaint, and that the design was not intentional. The boots are manufactured in China.

The company, a City of Industry shoe distributor, has apologized in a letter addressed to the public in which it says there was never an intention to have a swastika design on the shoes, and that it was an obvious mistake made by the China manufacturers. The boots have been recalled, with the company saying they do not promote hate and would never create a design promoting hate.

Conal International Trading Company’s website indicates the company distributes shoes throughout the Americas and U.S., and was founded in 2002.

Footwear News – Walmart’s $70 Million Purchase Of ShoeBuy

January 13, 2017 by superadmin

footwear

As a global distributor of wholesale footwear, we’re always interested in the latest shoe news. In August of last year retail giant Walmart purchased Jet.com for $3 billion. Now, Jet.com has purchased shoe-tailer ShoeBuy for a reported $70 million as Walmart continues its efforts to boost online sales.

According to news reports, ShoeBuy, an online shoe retailer based in Boston, was purchased by Jet.com on December 30th. Walmart made the announcement on January 5th, explaining the deal will make it possible for Jet.com to secure the experience of a “well-established ecommerce player in the footwear industry.” The goal of Jet.com’s purchase of ShoeBuy is to expand the company’s reach in the lives of consumers.

Founded in 1999, ShoeBuy and Zappos were among the first to sell footwear online. News reports state clothing and accessories became the biggest retail category online in 2015, with Amazon leading the way. In the fall of last year, Walmart tried to work a deal with India-based Flipkart to rival Amazon overseas, but the deal may have fallen through.

Marc Lore, CEO and co-founder of Jet.com said it was a “fair assumption” that additional acquisitions of online retailers by Jet and Walmart would be coming in the future.

Mike Sorabella, CEO at ShoeBuy, said the company will retain its 200 Boston-based employees, and operate as a standalone site.

Things are definitely interesting in the retail industry where shoes are concerned!

Shoe News – In Texas, Even Coyotes Love Footwear!

January 6, 2017 by superadmin

shoe news

Recently in shoe news, it was reported that a coyote stole someone’s shoe from the steps of a home in Frisco, TX. According to news reports, a friend of the resident left her home minus one shoe after going out to retrieve her shoes from the front steps, only to find one was mysteriously missing.

Anitha Srinivas said that upon discovering the shoe was missing, she and her friend searched the bushes and couldn’t locate the shoe. While they were stumped, they were even more confused after looking at surveillance video and finding a coyote had come up the steps, grabbed the shoe in its mouth, and made its getaway. There were several pairs of shoes on the front steps, however it seems the coyote was satisfied with a single shoe.

In Texas and around other parts of the country, it isn’t unusual to see coyotes in populated neighborhoods according to wildlife experts, who say wild animals such as coyotes often find better shelters and abundant food in the communities where people live than they find in the country or wooded areas. Apparently this coyote was happy to find a shoe! You can see the footage of the wily coyote shoe theft here.

Shoe Wholesaler – 8 Things You May Not Know About Shoes

December 29, 2016 by superadmin

shoe wholesaler

As a shoe wholesaler known around the world for quality footwear, we’re passionate about sharing tips and knowledge with our readers. You may know a thing or two about certain types of footwear, but there’s probably a lot you don’t know as well. We’ve included a few interesting things below you may find useful or helpful!

Does the fact that a shoe claims to be handmade mean it really is? No. Even when it says so inside, unless you’re paying ten times the amount you would normally pay, chances are it’s simply a marketing ploy. Sure, workers in factories may guide the shoe through machines or even stitch the upper portion using a sewing machine before a machine attaches the sole, but still it isn’t truly handmade. On the other hand, if you’re paying $1,500 or $2,000, it may be completely handmade.

Polish and conditioner are not the same thing. You may think polish conditions your leather shoes, but it actually dries them out over time. This is what conditioner is for – to renovate and soften up the leather so you can polish them to a high shine!

Think black or brown shoes are the most versatile? Most shoe aficionados agree that Oxblood or burgundy are the colors that go with most wardrobe choices.

Need to clean dirty suede? Sandpaper that’s super fine works wonders – but be gentle.

You may have read that mink oil isn’t good for leather shoes, but it actually is when applied properly. Used in very small amounts and applied evenly, mink oil helps extend the life of your leather shoes by nourishing them.

The term “sneaker” began being used in the late 1800s when people realized they could “sneak” around in shoes with rubber soles without being heard. It’s true, according to The New York Times!

According to a study conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center, the average woman owns about 19 pairs of shoes. How many do you own?

How old was Jimmy Choo when he constructed his first pair of shoes? 11.

Hope you enjoyed these tips and facts! At The Jay Group Ltd., we distribute quality, stylish wholesale footwear around the world to those in need of good shoes for their customers. In branded and unbranded styles, count on us for exceptional footwear at the best possible price! Whether domestic or international, we invite you to partner with us today.

Wholesale Footwear – How To Make Shoes Waterproof

December 22, 2016 by superadmin

wholesale footwear

As global leaders in the wholesale footwear industry, we can tell you that there isn’t a foolproof way to make your shoes and boots waterproof for however long they last, however you can make most footwear water resistant during the wet, muddy, and sometimes icy conditions common during the winter season. We know that many shoes are quite pricey, and you want them to hold up well under any weather conditions. We have a few tips that will help ensure your feet stay dry, while those pricey shoes stay protected to the greatest extent possible.

It’s important to remember that nothing will keep your footwear waterproof permanently, but you can protect them for the short-term using various products and methods, depending on the materials they’re made of.

Waterproof sprays are designed for various materials, so read labels to see which one is right depending on whether your shoes are suede, canvas, leather, or another type of material.

Silicone based waterproof sprays work on nearly all shoes, but with any product you’ll want to test in an inconspicuous area to make sure it doesn’t cause any discoloration or other problem.

Want to waterproof leather dress shoes or boots? The first step is a thorough cleaning, using saddle soap and water, unless the shoes are new. After cleaning, polish your leather shoes using a circular motion before removing excess product with a clean cloth. Once this is complete, apply a spray or product that’s rubbed into the shoe, and that’s designed to be used on leather, following instructions carefully.

For shoes made of canvas, beeswax works well. Using a small block, rub it over the shoes evenly until the beeswax becomes visible on the canvas. Once that’s done, simply work it in using the heat of a blow dryer until your shoes return to the original color. You canvas shoes will be waterproof for a few excursions out into wet conditions!

Some claim you can use a candle if you don’t have any beeswax on hand, or Vaseline in place of wax. With any method, regardless of whether you’re using products designed for this purpose or a DIY approach with products around the house, always test in a small area first to make sure the results are what you expect.
