The Jay Group’s executive management team has more than 110 years of combined experience in the footwear industry. Since its inception, The Jay Group has focused on developing a professional team as diverse as it is qualified. The company’s presence and leadership are clearly reflected in the vast experience and deep commitment of its management group.
David started his career with the predecessor company, B Klitzner and Son, in January 1971. In 1976 he bought the company and completely changed almost every facet of that business including the name to The Jay Group. In the 35 years of developing third world markets for brand sensitive clients, The Jay Group brand has become synonymous with this task. David has been the only CEO of the parent company. He has served on various boards and holds a BBA from The University of Georgia.
Ryan Jay is the President of The Jay Group, with responsibility for SALES, PURCHASING, and INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS. He has been with The Jay Group for 12 years where he has traveled to over 45 countries and 3,000,000 miles, developing business throughout the world. Ryan’s annual international footwear purchases exceed 5,000,000 pairs and sales exceeds 9,000,0000 pairs. His passion for working hands on in marketplaces throughout the world, both formal and informal, has propelled both himself and The Jay Group into a more dynamic business environment.
Mr. John F. Kelly joined the Company in 2009 as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Kelly served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Atsco Footwear LLC, a privately owned Footwear wholesale company from 2005 to 2009; as Vice President of Operations of Maxwell Shoe Company, Inc., a publicly traded footwear wholesale company from 1998 to 2005; as Controller for Maxwell Shoe Company, Inc. from 1993 to 1998. From 1973 to 1993, Mr. Kelly held various positions at The Stride Rite Corporation, including Sourcing Manager, Director of Merchandising and Controller.
Mr. Elliott is the Vice President of Purchasing and Planning for The Jay Group. His strengths in international merchandise planning combined with his personal relationships with key footwear retailers and manufacturers help ensure The Jay Group’s continued growth and success. Prior to joining the company in 2002, Mark worked with Payless Shoe Source, Target Corporation and May Company as a buyer of various product lines, including footwear. He holds a BS in Business Management from Brigham Young University.
Stephen Parsons is a seasoned international consumer goods professional with over 14 years of off price wholesale experience and 8 years of big box retail experience. Stephen has successfully developed markets in the US, Mexico, Central and South America, Africa and Eastern Europe and has direct experience with over 23 countries. Over his 14 year tenure in the wholesale industry Stephen has lead operations, sales, marketing, IT, HR and Logistics. Stephen’s knowledge of individual markets around the world and business experience allow him to support our key customers and new customers with unparalleled service. Stephen has been a contributing member of our team for over 3 years and continues to help our organization expand our markets while supporting key customers.
Mr. Tolga Demiralay is the Vice President of Finance and IT of The Jay Group and he joined the company in late 2007. From 2003 to 2007, Mr. Demiralay served as Vice President of Finance and Treasurer of TER Prints USA, a full service printing facility of newspapers and magazines. From 2001 to 2003, he served as Director of Finance of Showtime Pictures LLC, a leading photography concession company. Mr. Demiralay earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Istanbul University and his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Tampa.
Steve has been with The Jay Group for over 20 years selling into all major markets and regions. He is based in Rocky Mount, NC.
Steve has been with The Jay Group for 3 years. He has direct sales experience in over 23 countries in Mexico, Central and South America, Africa and Eastern Europe. He is based in Rocky Mount, NC and is also a member of our management team.
Jeff has been with The Jay Group for over 30 years. He has traveled to over 20 countries throughout Africa and sold over 2000 containers. He is based in Rocky Mount, NC.
Ligia has been with The Jay Group for over 12 years. She has traveled extensively in Latin America and has also provided support to customers. She is based out of our Miami facility.
